Aesthetic dermatology includes medical procedures planned after assessing the patient’s skin characteristics, facial anatomy, and age-related changes.
The aim is not to perform the same treatment for everyone, but to identify each patient’s individual needs and create an appropriate, balanced, and personalised treatment plan.
At Dr. Armin Müştak’s dermatology practice, the patient’s skin type, facial anatomy, facial movements, volume changes, tendency to develop pigmentation, previous procedures, current medications, medical history, and expectations are assessed before treatment.
Following a dermatological assessment, suitable patients may be considered for procedures such as:
Botulinum toxin injections
Hyaluronic acid fillers
Calcium hydroxylapatite and poly-L-lactic acid treatments
PRP
Mesotherapy
Microneedling
RF microneedling, commonly known as “gold needle treatment” in Türkiye
CO2 fractional laser
Laser treatments for selected pigmentation and vascular concerns
Chemical peels
Medical skincare and hydrodermabrasion
Laser hair removal
Laser tattoo removal
Each procedure has a different purpose, mechanism of action, recovery process, and risk profile. Not every treatment is suitable for every patient.
Botulinum toxin may be considered for expression lines caused by facial muscle activity.
Dermal fillers may be used in suitable patients to address selected areas of facial volume loss, deeper folds or hollows, and changes in facial proportions.
Hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite, and poly-L-lactic acid products have different properties and mechanisms of action. Product selection should be based on the treatment area, tissue characteristics, facial anatomy, and treatment goals.
PRP, mesotherapy, microneedling, RF microneedling, chemical peels, and selected laser treatments may be considered for concerns involving skin texture, hydration, fine lines, scarring, or uneven pigmentation.
These procedures are not interchangeable and do not produce identical results. When more than one treatment is appropriate, the procedures should be scheduled at suitable intervals and planned so that they work safely together.
CO2 fractional lasers, pigment-targeting lasers, vascular laser systems, and laser hair removal devices use different wavelengths and technologies for different purposes.
The choice of device should not be based solely on the patient’s visible concern. Skin type, diagnosis, treatment area, pigmentation risk, medical history, and previous procedures must also be considered.
Combining several procedures does not automatically produce better results. A combination treatment plan should take into account the compatibility of the procedures, the patient’s healing capacity, recovery times, and the overall risk of side effects.
The degree of improvement, duration of the effects, and number of sessions required vary from person to person and cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Before treatment, the potential benefits, limitations, alternatives, recovery process, and possible risks should be discussed clearly.
